Good morning!! I hope everyone had a wonderful memorial day weekend with their families! Today is Tuesday May 26, 2020. The weather for today will be warm and cloudy. I have received questions about the letter /y/ making the /e/ sound or the /i/ sound. Please watch the video below and learn about the rules for using /y/ as a vowel. Practice saying some words ending in /y/ with your child and clap out the syllables. If there is 1 syllable in a word, then the /y/ makes an /i/ sound. If there are 2 or more syllables in a word, then the /y/ ends with an /e/ sound. Also, please review the heggerty videos daily. It's a blue tab on my webpage that says heggerty.
