good morning boys and girls this is Miss Feliciano again yesterday we finished reading and talking about The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle today we're going to review. story and I want to talk about the parts of the story that ended up with the caterpillar becoming this beautiful butterfly if we remember the story began with what was on the leaf in the story yes it was a little egg okay A little egg was on the leaf that was the first part does everybody remember what opt out of that little egg the baby caterpillar okay when he popped out of the egg boys and girls what was he feeling was he feeling happy was he feeling very tired achy feeling he was feeling very hungry we heard that throughout the entire story every time he ate something he was still hungry and he ate a lot right boys and girls okay the next part that we were reading about is that all the foods that the caterpillar ate who can give me some of the foods that the caterpillar ate eating strawberries cuz those are my favorite what are your favorite foods that the caterpillar ate very good I knew you guys would remember the cupcake I knew that what else lollipop very good watermelon yes good answer appare good about the chocolate cake absolutely okay and very good it's still kind of a cake but we call it a pie the Cherry Pie okay so he ate a lot of foods the Swiss cheese very good answer I heard that ice cream cone absolutely had the ice cream cone what happened did he just go to sleep didn't go and play what did he do that's right he got a very bad stuff okay do you remember what he did to feel better I also mentioned that other animals do the same thing like dogs do you remember what he did he started eating some of the week to help his stomach feel better when he was done with that and eating all that food boys and girls was he still that tiny little baby caterpillar that came out of the egg what was he now bigger yes all that food made him grow bigger okay so what did he do next now that he's very big he ate some of his Leaf to help stomach ache what's it going to do now yeah he kind of goes to sleep for two weeks do you remember the name of his house that he built around him very good job cocoon let's say that together cocoon again cocoon yes the caterpillar built the Cocoon around himself and went to sleep for how two weeks when he came out of the Cocoon we said also we use the word nibble yesterday okay and also from one of our agents stories what is nibble again girls excellent you guys are amazing you remember everything from the story very proud of you two means that the caterpillar was taking tiny bites out of the Cocoon come out come out now right I mean he's been in there for 2 weeks right boys and girls you'd want to come out to okay so when he came out what did he come out as was he still this big caterpillar or yes excellent he was a beautiful butterfly now boys and girls for homework what I want you to do is I would like you to make a picture of your favorite part of the story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar and I would like you to write just a few sentences the best way you can remember stretcher sounds when you're writing the words don't forget your finger spacing I want to see periods at the end of your sentences or whatever other punctuation we're using okay and you can take a picture of it boys and girls and you can mail it to my email which will be posted in the instructions on this post okay alright thank you I've had so much fun with you guys today again I hope you had as much fun too and again I need to tell you remember to help your families remember to keep washing your hands and stay home I'll see you guys tomorrow
