Folders

You must check your child’s folder every single day.  Important notes and papers go home and parents have to be aware of what is going on in school. Take out all the papers from the folder and keep them, unless it is homework or says “return.”

 

BEE Book Binder

You must check your child’s BEE Book Binder every single day.  Important notes and papers go home and parents have to be aware of what’s going on in school. Take out all the papers from the folder and keep them, unless it’s homework or says “return.”  You will also find resources to help your child review what we are learning in school.  Please DO NOT REMOVE any of these resources that will be in the transparency sheets.

 

 

Google Classroom

Homework   

Homework is just as important to your child’s overall development as are class work, participation, and tests/quizzes.  We will be assigning homework every night, Monday through Thursday. Your child’s weekly homework sheet will always be inside their BEE BOOK.  Please help your child complete their homework and go over any questions he/she may have at home.

Please check and sign your child’s homework every night.

 

Tests and Quizzes 

Your child will have reading tests at the end of each week and phonics tests at the end of each unit.  Math tests will be given at the end of each topic.  I will notify you in advance so you have time to help your child prepare and study for the test.  Quizzes will be given throughout the week. We strongly suggest you to go over the homework with your child because this will help him/her do well in quizzes.

 

Pictures   

I like to take pictures of the students doing different activities in the classroom.  The pictures will be used for classroom purposes only and for our website. The kids like to see their pictures displayed in the class or in projects.  Please sign the permission slip and return it to school.
