Welcome

Hello Parents ! My name is Ms. Dorothy Oms. I am the Preschool Teacher for Trailer #14 and Iook forward to working with you and your child.

I have been teaching for 30 years . I started teaching in St. Anthony's School in Union City where I taught 1st, grade and 3rd. grade. I began working in Early Childhood at a local Day Care Center after school and continued to do so after St. Anthony's Closed. I taught ages 18 months - 5yrs. of age.

I started working for the North Bergen School District in 2019, first as a Second Grade Title 1 Teacher at Horace Mann and then the Pre-School in 2021.

On a personal note. I volunteer for many Special Needs Activities : I am a LTP Coordinator for Special Olympics, Hudson County, Score Keeper for the Hudson Ability Bowling League, the North Bergen Program for Special Needs Adults and Older teens, and I work at the Special Needs Summer Fun Program.

I have a Master's Degree from St. Peter's University in Administration and Supervision in Education.

I am always available to speak with you when you bring your child to school, pick him/her off or through my Class DoJo.
